The White Line.
The infamous White Line in Sedona, Arizona is a sandstone butte with a signature white mineral deposit that gives it it’s namesake. Riding this dangerous line means carefully traversing the sandstone perpendicular to the fall line for over 100 yards, then completing a very critical 180 degree steep turn and riding back to safety along a lower traverse. Sounds easy? It’s not.
Most critical is what you don’t see in the shot. Below the challenging turn, is a shear 200 ft cliff drop to the flat valley floor below. If anything goes wrong (like it did here), it’s game over.
